Water Hemlock (Cicuta Maculata)

Castor Bean (Ricinus Communis)

These seeds, contain abrin, a ribosome inhibiting protein and is extremely deadly. Rosary peas grow in tropical areas. They are used in prayer rosaries and jewelry. Its intact seed are not poisonous, but the scratched, broken or chewed ones can be deadly. Only 3 micrograms are enough to kill an adult. Abrin is also preventngi protein synthesis in the cells.

Oleander (Nerium Oleander)


This is beautiful plant with striking flowers and all parts of this plant are deadly. They are full with lethal cardiac glycosides named oleandrin and neriline. If it is consumed it may cause diarrhea, vomiting, erratic pulse, seizures, coma and at the end death. Some people have become sick after eating honey from bees that visited oleander flowers. This plant is very bitter, so poisoning is very rare.

Tobacco (Nicotiana Tabacum)


Tobacco – most grown commercial plant in the world and all the parts of it, especially the leaves, contain nicotine and anabasine. These are toxic alkaloids-fatal if they are eaten. Despite of being labeled as a cardiac poison, nicotine is consumed around the world. It is perhaps most deadly plant – it causes 5 million deaths every year all around the world.

Angel Trumpet


The Angel Trumpet- native to South America’s forests. It is full with atropine, hyoscyamine, and scopoalamine which are mind altering. It is less dangerous itself, but also can be turned in a biological weapon by humans. The documentary “Colombian Devil’s Breath” from 2007 screened the stories in which the Angel Trumpet was used by criminal gangs in order to make living zombies from the victims –literally. They refined scopolamine. This acts like “hypnotizing herb”, makes the victims unaware of their actions, completely conscious at the same time. Spurge Laurel


Spurge Laurel – related to Bay Leaf, found in public grounds and ornamental gardens. It contains powerful biocides that cause irritation and blistering, when plant is cutted. But if berries are consumed it cause major internal bleeding and organ failure and death after several hours.
